UploadStudio Privacy Policy

UploadStudio ("the app") is a Shopify app that lets merchants sell custom, uploaded-artwork products (transfers, gang sheets, and similar print products) and routes fulfillment through UploadTransfers Studio, an existing print-on-demand production system operated at uploadtransfers.com ("the fulfillment partner"). This page explains what data the app processes and why.

What we collect

• Shop information: your shop domain, install date, product mappings, and license/billing status for the app itself.
• Order data: when a customer places an order for a mapped product, we read the order's line items, shipping/billing address, email, phone, and any order note, so the order can be forwarded to the fulfillment partner for production and shipping.
• Uploaded designs: images and design files your customers upload through the storefront uploader, along with the print dimensions they choose. These are uploaded directly to the fulfillment partner's storage and referenced by the order.
• Draft upload sessions: in-progress uploader state (selected files, sizing, and — if the shopper is logged in — their Shopify customer ID) is saved temporarily so a customer can resume an unfinished design.

How we use it

Order and design data is used solely to produce and ship the physical product the customer ordered, by forwarding it to the fulfillment partner. We do not sell customer data, and we do not use it for advertising or profiling. We do not run any third-party analytics or advertising trackers in the app or storefront uploader.

Who we share it with

Order and design data is shared with the fulfillment partner (UploadTransfers Studio) because they physically manufacture and ship the product. No other third parties receive this data through the app.

Retention and deletion

We retain order and shop records for as long as your shop has the app installed, so orders can be tracked and reconciled. When the app is uninstalled, your shop's configuration and associated order records are deleted from our database within 30 days.

In line with Shopify's mandatory privacy webhooks, we also support:

• a request for a copy of the data we hold about a specific customer,
• a request to redact a specific customer's personal data from our records, and
• full erasure of a shop's data after the app is uninstalled.

Your rights

If you are a merchant using this app, or a customer who ordered a custom product through a store using this app, you can request a copy of your data or ask us to delete it by contacting us below. If you're a customer, you can also make this request through the store you ordered from.
